Brio Bar is on Corso Italia, near spiaggia di Serapo, and has been run by the Lisi-Zamberti family since 1991. It opens at 6:00 and is closed on Thursdays.
Here, however, the main highlight isn’t the cornetto: it’s the tiella di Gaeta, the traditional stuffed savory pie filled with octopus, escarole, or onions, made with sourdough. Outside the old town, at Via Buonomo 13/5, you’ll find Pasticceria Carmine: a pastry shop, cafe, and gelateria all in one, with a reputation built on filled cornetti.
