How evening events work at Selene
Kalua is the series of electronic music nights at Selene Beach Club, on Serapo beach: it starts at 19:00 and continues until midnight, featuring different DJs for each date. Admission costs 15 euros and includes one drink. It is not an indoor nightclub: you dance on the sand right in front of the sea — making it effectively the main benchmark for summer nightlife in Gaeta.
On Wednesdays in August, Selene remains open, but with different events that are not part of the Kalua line-up: the schedule is announced as each date approaches.
Before heading out: things to know
- Parking and ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone). In August, the historic center is restricted to traffic in the evening and the electronic gates are active: fines arrive by mail months later. It is best to check the guide to parking and the ZTL before hitting the road.
