Are you ready to “Live in a Fairy Tale”? Carnevale 2026 in Gaeta comes alive with magic through an unmissable double event in the heart of the city. The event “Carnevale in Piazzetta” will bring to life the enchanted atmosphere of Alice in Wonderland, turning Piazza Vincenzo Capodanno into an open-air stage for young and old alike.
Featuring masked parades, giant stilt walkers, and fire shows, here is the official schedule for the two days of festivities organized by Vivere in una Favola and Animazione Orange.
📅 Sunday, February 15: The Grand Parade
The celebration kicks off on Sunday afternoon with a spectacular parade.
- 3:30 PM – The Gathering: See you all in Piazza Mons. Di Liegro (Piazza Virgilio) for the start of the festivities.
- The Parade: From here, the colorful Masked Parade featuring the characters of Alice in Wonderland will set off. Get your cameras ready: the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter are taking over the streets of Gaeta!
- 5:00 PM – The Show: The arrival is scheduled in Piazza V. Capodanno, where the magic continues with the Mr. Woolf show. Get ready to look up in wonder as jugglers and stilt walkers defy gravity.
🔥 Tuesday, February 17: Grand Fire Finale
For Fat Tuesday, Gaeta bids farewell to Carnevale with a thrilling event.
- 5:00 PM – Piazza V. Capodanno: Clear your schedule. Mario Rufino arrives in the square with his incredible “Snake Show & Fire”. An evocative performance combining the fascination of snakes with the power of fire, for a grand finale that will leave everyone breathless.
Fun for everyone: Throughout both days, the atmosphere will be made even sweeter with cotton candy, popcorn, balloons, and, of course, a shower of confetti!
The event is held under the patronage of the Regione Lazio, the City of Gaeta, and Pro Loco Gaeta. We look forward to seeing you in costume!
