What awaits you
Throughout the summer, the Basilica Cattedrale di Gaeta opens its heritage: churches, crypt, and bell tower can be visited free of charge in the medieval village.
OPENING HOURS (July–August 2026)
• Cathedral and Crypt: every day 16:30–18:30; Friday and Saturday also 10:30–12:30
• Chiesa di San Giovanni Evangelista a Mare: every day 16:30–18:30
• Tempio di San Francesco d’Assisi: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 16:30–18:30
• Terra Santa di San Domenico: Sunday 18:00–20:00 (managed by the Confraternita del Rosario)
• Santuario della SS.ma Annunziata: managed by the Istituti Riuniti del Lazio; the parish manages opening for liturgical services
CLIMB TO THE BELL TOWER — reservation only
Sundays 16 and 30 August, at 16:30. Mandatory reservation via email to ars@cattedralegaeta.it
