The Mausoleum of Lucius Munazio Planco, built in the first century B.C., is one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in Latium. Built in honor of the Roman consul and general, it stands on top of Mount Orlando and dominates the gulf with a breathtaking panorama. The circular structure, with a diameter of more than 30 meters, testifies to Gaeta’s historical importance in Roman times.
Restrooms. Next to the Mausoleum there are fully equipped restrooms, accessible to people with disabilities, just like the monument itself. They are available only during the Mausoleum’s opening hours.
