Grotta del Turco (Mount Orlando)
What makes it special
Grotta del Turco is a natural cavity carved by sea waves in the base of Mount Orlando. It is accessed by a long flight of steps that descends between the cracks of Montagna Spaccata. According to legend, a Turkish sailor found refuge there, hence the name. The play of light and the colors of the sea make it an evocative place and among the most photographed in the city.
