What makes it special
Every Wednesday morning, the square of the former Vetreria Avir, a stretch of Corso Italia and Via Venezia host the weekly market of Gaeta: clothing, shoes and local food products, from Gaeta olives to seasonal fruits and vegetables, all the way to mozzarella di bufala campana.
The market takes place from 8:00 to 13:00, according to the official market website. On Wednesday mornings, the square of the former Avir cannot be used for parking because it hosts the market stalls, and a section of Corso Italia is closed to traffic: it is best to leave your car elsewhere and reach the market on foot.
To find the stall you need, use the map of the weekly market stalls (in Italian): pick a category, tap the stall and let your phone walk you there.
