Gaeta's open-air market, every Wednesday morning at Piazzale ex Avir and along Corso Italia.
What makes it special
Every Wednesday morning, the square of the former Vetreria Avir and a stretch of Corso Italia host the weekly market of Gaeta: clothing, shoes, and above all local food products, from Gaeta olives to seasonal fruits and vegetables, all the way to mozzarella di bufala campana.
The market takes place from 07:30 to 14:00. On Wednesday mornings, the square of the former Avir cannot be used for parking because it hosts the market stalls, and a section of Corso Italia is closed to traffic: it is best to leave your car elsewhere and reach the market on foot.
