Torre Scissure and Arenauta beach
From Torre Scissure, sheer above the sea, to Arenauta, Gaeta's wildest beach, known as the 300 steps beach: the coast by drone.
Open the guide pageThe story
The drone starts from Torre Scissure, sheer above the sea, and follows the rocky coast down to Arenauta beach.
Torre Scissure is a coastal watchtower of the Kingdom of Naples defence system, built under the Angevins to protect the people from Saracen pirate raids. Arenauta is Gaeta's wildest beach: very fine sand closed by high rock walls and Mediterranean scrub, among the most scenic in Lazio. Everyone calls it the 300 steps beach, after the long staircase that is the only way down.
