There is a moment in Gaeta when the light turns orange and the sea becomes a mirror: it is sunset time on Monte Orlando. On Monday 10 August 2026, the Forania di Gaeta invites young people to experience it on foot with the «Passeggiata al tramonto e sotto le stelle»: an outdoor evening, from dusk until the first stars appear.
The meeting point is at 19:30 at the entrance of the Santuario della Montagna Spaccata. From there, you set off together on a loop trail lasting about two hours along the paths of the promontory, through Mediterranean scrub, panoramic viewpoints over the gulf, and the quiet of the park as the city below begins to light up.

At sunset, it is simply one of the most beautiful spots in the city.
