The magic has begun! The 10th edition of “Favole di Luce” has lit up Gaeta, and the event will continue to illuminate the city until Jan. 11, 2026.
If you’re planning your visit, this is the up-to-date guide with all the essential information: from the exact lighting and Fountain show times, to the route map, to the schedule of upcoming major free concerts.
🔴 Basic Info: Times and Shows.
This is the most important section for organizing your visit. Pay attention to the difference between weekdays and weekends!
What time do the Luminaries light up?
The 27 light installations (including Dinosaurs, the Whale, Pandas, etc.) are lit EVERY DAY.
- Turn-on Time: Every day at 5:00 p.m. / 5:30 p.m. (at sunset).
- Time Off: Late Night.
The Spectacle of the St. Francis Fountain
The show of water games, lights and music in Freedom Square does NOT take place every day.
- When: Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays only.
- Start time: 6:30 pm.
- Traffic Info: Attention. On show days, the central street (Corso Cavour/Piazza della Libertà) is closed to traffic from 6 pm. Arrive early to park comfortably!

There are 27 Favole di Luce installations this year. Finding them all from memory is impossible. That’s why we have created a very easy-to-use Interactive Map.

2. The Game: “Hunt for 27 Lights” 📸
Do you want to make the walk more fun? Participate in our challenge! The goal is simple: find them all.
The rules of the game:
- Follow the map and reach the installations.
- When you are in front of a work, take a picture.
- If you can photograph all 27 attractions, send them to us!
You will receive a “Symbolic Award” (a special congratulatory message and the title of “Gaeta Explorer”) directly on WhatsApp from our team. This is a nice way to involve children and friends in the visit.
🥂 New Year’s Eve in Gaeta 2026: Free Concert with Paolo Belli in Piazza XIX Maggio
On December 31, Gaeta greets the New Year with one of the most anticipated events on the Ulysses Riviera. In the splendid setting of the Luminarie, New Year’s Eve is transformed into a big open-air party in the heart of the city.
The appointment is for Wednesday, December 31, from 11 p.m. in Piazza XIX Maggio (near the Town Hall and the Enchanted Village). The absolute star of the evening will be Paolo Belli, whose overwhelming energy will make the whole square sing and dance while waiting for the midnight toast.
The evening’s program includes:
- Opening Band: Live music to warm up the atmosphere.
- Main Event: Paolo Belli Concert.
- DJ Set: To keep dancing late into the night.
The event is a free performance by ATCL (Theatre Association among the Municipalities of Lazio).

The most anticipated time of the year continues. Here’s when you can enjoy the spectacular illuminations:
- Start Date: Sunday, November 9, 2025
- End Date: Sunday, January 11, 2026
A period of more than two months to soak in the magic, perfect for planning your visit or enjoying multiple evenings among the lights of Gaeta.
Luminaries Lighting Times
The installations are activated at dusk and remain lit until late in the evening every day.

- Dedicated parking areas (including temporary).
- Active shuttle services (with routes and frequencies).
