Yesterday, as the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch passed by, Gaeta held its breath. It was a collective emotion that united the city in an embrace of hope and pride.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Did you feel the energy in the air? Yesterday was one of those days that go straight into the annals of our city. When the flashlight appeared, carried proudly by the torchbearers in their colorful white jumpsuits, time seemed to stand still for an instant.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"522\" height=\"927\" src=\"https:\/\/scoprigaeta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251226_125334.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16811\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scoprigaeta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251226_125334.webp 522w, https:\/\/scoprigaeta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251226_125334-169x300.webp 169w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 522px) 100vw, 522px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>We were not just watching athletes run along the waterfront or light the brazier in the square. We were watching something much bigger. That flame represents <strong>hope<\/strong>, <strong>peace<\/strong> and that sporting spirit that can, if only for an afternoon, unite all of Italy.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Gaeta starring toward 2026<\/strong> Seeing the logo of <em>Milan Cortina 2026<\/em> paraded between our sea and the Angevin Castle was an immense honor. Gaeta officially became a chapter in this journey toward the Winter Olympics. The city&#8217;s heart beat to the same rhythm as the Olympics, amid the applause of the crowd and the wonder in the eyes of the children.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"480\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 854 \/ 480;\" width=\"854\" controls=\"\" poster=\"https:\/\/scoprigaeta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251226_140204.webp\" src=\"https:\/\/scoprigaeta.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/torciasitolight.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Thank you to those who were there, those who cheered and those who experienced this unforgettable excitement with us.
